My lovely wife by Samantha Downing is a thriller published in March 2019. This was wonderfully spun with a great twist and is a great read.

The protagonist and his wife are your regular neighbors. They have a lovely family & kids who go to the same school as your kids. This couple however enjoys a very unique hobby – to murder innocent girls- and they manage to get away with it !!

This book’s plot is super interesting & the story is what can be called “fear-inducing”. The events are narrated from the Husband’s point of view and so we get an insight to how a killer/psychopath justifies and rationalizes his ruthless actions. A killer on the loose affects the society and their routines and the narrative takes all of this into account, which gives it a very realistic feel.

My favorite thing about the book was the unexpected twist at the end, which came together delightfully !! This is definitely a great thriller to pick up. The Author’s latest book “He started it” is coming out this month and I am super excited for it too!
