Bring Me Back is a one-of -a-kind fiction by B.A.Paris. It is a compelling Psychological thriller and I finished this book in one sitting.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Finn and Layla are young lovers, out on a vacation, when Layla goes missing . Finn’s official story to the police is that he stopped at a service station to use the restroom and Layla was gone when he returned. Ten years later , he is engaged to Layla’s sister, Ellen. But all is not normal in his relationship with Ellen and Finn is troubled by an unsettling sense about Ellen . Things heat up when someone reports to have spotted Layla after all these years. Messages and warnings turn up for Finn & he has no choice but to revisit his past & face the truth of the fateful night Layla went missing. . This was a good suspense. When I read a thriller, I try to work out all possible solutions to solve the mystery and if the actual twist in the book surpasses my imagination , it becomes an immediate favorite. This book definitely did that for me. Without giving any spoilers – this book has a small set of characters that is easy to keep track of , and switches between timelines easily. . There are a few loose ends in the story though. The challenge in writing a mystery/thriller is to actually bring the several smaller mysteries that are cited along the narrative and tie them to the main plot. This book missed a few teeny tiny such points, and hence the narrow miss from 5 stars.
