Little fires everywhere by Celeste Ng is a Heart warming story set in the 90s. I read this for #contemporaryathon a while back . This wonderful piece is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5. . Set in Shaker heights, Ohio, the story emphasizes the Residents’ obsession with Rules & Planning. Elena Richardson has a blissful life with her husband & four kids & is a strong believer in ” Rules existed for a reason; if you followed it , you found success”. The Richardsons’ lives are drastically altered after Mia Warren & her teenage daughter Pearl move to Shaker Heights and rent a house from the Richardsons’. . This book has so many elements to it & all the characters have loaded personalities. Elena & Mia butt heads on a legal case involving Elena’s friend . Izzie forms a special bond with Mia fueled by their affinity for creativity. Pearl & Trip Richardson start Dating ; Pearl & Moody Richardson become close friends. Lexie Richardson also takes a liking to Pearl & ends up turning to Mia for help. All the Richardson children get involved with the Warrens & the narration is fabulous in bringing the several threads in the story together. Every character in the book is significant to the plot & they felt so relatable. . The book is strongly based on Motherhood & a Mother-child relationship. The difficulties of raising good Kids & striking a balance between providing the right amount of freedom and strictness is a difficult task. This book made me question a lot of moral values about Parenthood that are considered normal. . If you haven’t read this yet, you should now !! This is going to be a TV show soon on Hulu casting Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington . I Cannot wait to watch this one. I can already picture all the possible cliffhangers. This book will make a perfect family drama!
