⭐️Slow-burn, Sorcery, Savior⭐️ . I am excited to host a blog tour stop for Hunted by the Sky – Book 1 in the Wrath of Ambar series by Tanaz Bhathena. This gave me the vibes of a crossover between Kinder Poison and The Tiger at Midnight. . ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 . SYNOPSIS-> Gul has spent her life running. She has a star-shaped birthmark on her arm, and in the kingdom of Ambar, Gul’s mark is what caused her parents’ murder and forced her into hiding to protect her own life.Gul wants only one thing: revenge. Cavas lives is a non-magi and works in the royal Stables. Sparks fly when he meets a mysterious girl―Gul―in the capital’s bazaar, and as the chemistry between them undeniably grows, he becomes entangled in a mission of vengeance―and discovers a magic he never expected to find. . REVIEW-> Let’s talk about the cover of the book first. It is such a stunner. The colors & the illustration of the main character Gul is a real vision. The illustrator needs to be given credit for this amazing work. . The story is set in ancient mythical India with magic and non-magic people living under a tyrant king. I like the references to Indian myths & cultures and how the author has spun a fantasy around it. The cast of strong Women characters and their bond & determination to face troubles head-on is what stood out for me. . The book is a slow burn and takes time to get into the main plot. I also found Cavas’s storyline far more interesting than Gul’s. The Book has ended on a cliff hanger & I am looking forward to the next book of the series!
