The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren is a contemporary romcom. Fun fact about the authors -> Christina Lauren is a pen name for the Author duo Christina Hobbs & Lauren Billings. I recently read a lot of books by this duo & I am a fan of their easy breezy, mood-lifting novels.

SYNOPSIS->
Olive and her identical twin Ami couldn’t be more different when it comes to their luck. Ami has been incredibly lucky & she wins all contest she enters & is now getting married to her meet-cute fiancé. When olive & her arch enemy Ethan(Ami’s future brother-in-law) are the only two people unaffected by the food poisoning at Ami’s wedding, they are offered to take the newlywed’s all expense paid honeymoon to Hawaii. In a desperate need to get away, Olive & Ethan take the trip, determined to steer clear of each other. But this honeymoon might be the lucky event that turns things around for Olive.

This is a typical enemies to lovers trope story, told in a delightful manner. I like how the premise for the story is very believable. I think it is very important for an event to be plausible, to enjoy the story. This book also had a beautiful way of not stopping at the “then they lived happily ever after “. Olive and Ethan deal with what happens after they fall in love too. They deal with difficult conversations and family issues- this is not typical for a romance novel.

I love the twist in the book & see why it is so well loved by many others. The climax is drama packed with cuteness, bravery and tragedy.
