An Anonymous Girl is a thriller fiction by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen & I was really excited for this one after I had read & loved “The Wife between Us “. But this book was such a disappointment!!
⭐️⭐️/5
The book has two main characters -> Lydia Shields & Jessica . Jessica takes part in an Ethics & Morality survey anonymously conducted by Dr.Shields. The questions are simple at the beginning but dig deeper into Jessica’s morals & past as the survey progresses . Dr. Shields sets dauntingly strange tasks for Jessica & Jessica soon finds herself trapped and has to find a way to get out of the mess Lydia has put her in. . The story had me gripped for the first few chapters, but then got super confusing. The story buildup that was meant to build suspense , ended up creating a lot of chaos . The characters had no depth and not enough is said about Lydia to justify her actions either . I expected the climax to be a huge reveal & packed with drama, but it was a very obvious end & was done rather abruptly. . Having read 2 books by the pair of Authors , I can say I like their writing style & the Multiple points of views narration very much . It lets me peek into the characters thoughts & that adds more emotion to the story . And they have smart female protagonists who are no-nonsense characters. Definitely looking forward to duo’s next book “You are not alone” set to release in March 2020
