SYNOPSIS->
On a day that begins like any other, Hal receives a mysterious letter bequeathing her a substantial inheritance. She realizes very quickly that the letter was sent to the wrong person—but also that the cold-reading skills she’s honed as a tarot card reader might help her claim the money.
Soon, Hal finds herself at the funeral of the deceased…where it dawns on her that there is something very, very wrong about this strange situation and the inheritance at the center of it.

This book was so so good! It starts off slow & takes a little while to pick up- almost half the book actually,but once you are there, the wait is so worth it. The unraveling of the mysteries happened so quickly, that I read and re-read it to make sense of the complicated & super smart twist. I pretty much read through the last several chapters holding my breath.

Told from Hal’s POV,the story has captured all of her suspicions,dilemmas & trauma to make the character & story endearing.I loved how Hal felt the need to do the right thing even when her life was tumbling around her. The scary house, the mysterious inheritance and suspicious characters are perfect to keep the reader hooked.
